How the curator finder works

Every row above is a real entry from our playlist curator database. We pull the sample live when you pick a genre, so you see the same followers, genres and inbox types you get in the file. The first five come with the full email, free to use. Look at the domain, it already tells you a lot. A curator on a custom domain usually runs a small brand or a label playlist. A curator on Gmail is usually one person who listens to every submission.

The database holds 641 curators. Hip-hop and trap has 153 curators, indie and rock 109 and pop 116. Counts in the genre menu update every day.

What a good curator looks like

Followers are a start, not the answer. A playlist with 5k followers that updates every week can send more real listeners than a 100k playlist nobody opens. Before you pitch, open the playlist and check three things: when it was last updated, whether the tracks fit your sound, and whether the artists on it look like real artists with their own fans.

Be careful with playlists that grew fast and have no history, or that only list tracks from one distributor or one country. Those are often bot farms. Never pay for a guaranteed placement. Fake streams can get your track removed and hurt your profile for months.

How to pitch a Spotify playlist curator

Keep the email short. Subject line: your artist name, track title and genre. First line: why this playlist, with one track from it you like. Second line: one sentence about the song and the release date. Then the Spotify link. No attachments, no long bio.

Pitch two to three weeks before release when you can, so the curator has time to listen. Send to curators one by one, not in a group email. Follow up once after a week. If they add the track, thank them and share the playlist on your socials. That is how you get the next add.

Independent Spotify curators by genre

Each genre page shows live examples of curators in that genre, with notes on how to pitch them. For the full process, from finding curators to the follow-up, read how to find and pitch Spotify playlist curators.

Free preview vs the full list

The preview gives you five curators per genre with full emails, free. The full file has every curator we have for that genre, with the full email, follower count, number of playlists, playlist names and inbox type, plus the date each email last passed verification. You can buy one genre or all of them, or get a fresh file every month with the Genre Pass.

Curator finder FAQ

Is the curator finder free?

Yes. Pick any genre and see live examples with no signup.

Where do the curators come from?

From public Spotify playlists and the contact details curators publish themselves. Every email in the file passed a mail server check. The date of the last check is in each row.

Are the emails in the finder real?

Yes. The first five curators in each genre come with the full email, free. The rest of the genre comes with the list after purchase.

How many playlist curators are in the database?

641 curators across 25 genres, updated Oct 21, 2026. The count for each genre updates daily.

Do curators accept submissions by email?

Many independent curators do, and some prefer a form or a platform. The list tags each inbox as personal, info or similar, so you know who you are writing to.

How should I pitch a Spotify playlist curator?

A short personal email: why their playlist, one line about the song, release date and a Spotify link. Pitch weeks before release and follow up once.

Can I get curators for more than one genre?

Yes. Pick several genres in the list builder, take the full file, or subscribe to the Genre Pass for a fresh file every month.
