How to pitch a tech house label

Tech house moves fast. Labels judge a demo in the first thirty seconds and at the first drop. The groove and the bassline have to hit right away, and the hook, often a short vocal, has to stick after one listen.

Your mixdown and master have to compete with what is already in the charts. Put your track next to the label's latest release at the same volume. If yours sounds small, fix that before you send it.

These labels think about chart potential and DJ support. Mention any DJ who already plays the track and keep the extended mix DJ-friendly with a clean intro. Do not call your track "the next" anyone. Name the label release it would sit next to.

Clear every vocal sample. A viral vocal hook nobody owns is the fastest way to a rejection. Pitch one track per email and follow up once after two weeks. The genre moves fast and so do the labels.
